The Right Cover for Your Event
No two events are identical. A village fête, a sporting event and a multi-day festival should not receive the same medical plan simply because their attendance figures are similar.
Before recommending your provision, we will discuss your event and consider factors including:
- The type, size and duration of the event
- Expected attendance and participant numbers
- The age and profile of your audience
- Activities taking place and any foreseeable hazards
- The venue layout and accessibility
- Vehicle access and emergency routes
- Weather, temperature and environmental conditions
- The availability of alcohol
- Previous incident information, where available
- The distance and access to local healthcare facilities
- Medical requirements during the build, event and breakdown phases
This information helps us recommend suitable, proportionate cover based on the actual risks—not guesswork or attendance numbers alone.

Our approach is informed by the current Purple Guide and HSE event-safety guidance.
Depending on the size and complexity of your event, we can support you with:
- An event-specific Medical Needs Assessment
- A clear and practical Event Medical Plan
- Appropriate staffing levels and skill mix
- First aid posts, mobile responders and suitable medical equipment
- Communication and escalation procedures
- Emergency-service access and hospital-transfer arrangements
- Safeguarding, welfare and mental-health considerations
- Confidential patient-care documentation
- Post-event feedback and anonymised incident information, where agreed
Where appropriate, we can also support liaison with event management, venues, local authorities, Safety Advisory Groups and emergency services.
The event organiser retains overall responsibility for event safety, but we will work alongside you to make the medical side clear, manageable and properly planned.
What Happens on the Day?
Our team will arrive at the agreed time, report to the nominated event contact and complete an operational briefing.
Depending on the medical plan, we may:
- Establish a clearly identified first aid or treatment point
- Deploy visible foot or mobile patrols
- Maintain communication with event control
- Respond to illness, injury or medical emergencies
- Provide treatment within the team’s scope of practice
- Record patient assessments and treatment confidentially
- Escalate serious cases and request NHS assistance when necessary
- Provide a structured handover to ambulance or hospital teams
We do more than simply turn up, unfold a chair and hope for a quiet afternoon.
Our Medical Team
The level and type of personnel provided will be determined by your Medical Needs Assessment. Available resources may include:
- Qualified event first aiders
- Minimum FREC 3-qualified responders
- HCPC-registered paramedics
- Static and mobile medical teams
- Ambulance resources where identified and provided under the appropriate regulatory arrangements
Every team member is selected according to the needs of the event and works within their qualifications, competence and professional scope of practice.
